Become a vendor or parade participant.
10:30 pm Set-up for vendors, and volunteers. Parade participants, 2 pm check-in at the corner of Hancock and Hull Street.
3:00 Parade Begins (on the corner of Hull and Washington Street)
Parade participants must walk in groups of 5 minimum or more and are encouraged to make signage representing the MLK Jr. Day. Participants may also promote a cause or a positive message.
Each year the United Group of Artists Music Association gives back to the community by donating a percentage of the proceeds to the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) because it has been a vital force in promoting the philosophies and goals of Dr. Martin Luther King in the Athens-Clarke County community. AADM advocates for equal justice, opportunity, and economic advancement for all.
